Jupiter in his own house along with Saturn and Mercury will bestow long life. Such native often will beget wealth. 2. Should Venus be in Pisces along with Jupiter and the Moon, the native will acquire kingly fortunes and will have many sons and family. 3. Should the Ascendant be in a malefic Rāśi, while the Lord thereof occupies the 7th house and Jupiter is posited in the 8th along with the Sun, the child will die at the age of eight. 4. If Mercury and Mars be together in the Ascendant, or 6th, or 8th, the native will either be a thief, or will indulge in awful acts. Such a person will have defect in his hands and legs. 5. Mars and Jupiter in exchange in Rāśi will inflict death at the age of 12. Even though Lord Siva may desire to save the person, it is rare to escape death in such a case. 7. Should Jupiter occupy a house of Mars identical with 2nd, 6th, or 8th from Lagna, this child doubtlessly will face death in its sixth year. 8. Similar effects will prevail, if Rahu is in the 4th from Lagna, while the Moon occupies one of the angles. 9. If Rahu occupies the 9th, or the 10th, the native will die at 16, though Indra, Lord of Lords, may try to protect him. 12. Death will come to pass at the age of 20, if Saturn and the Sun are in exchange Rāśi. 13. If Rahu is in the Ascendant, while the Moon is in the 6th (or both of them being together in the 6th) will promote diseases in the rectum, indigestion and deficiency of a limb. 14. Death will be caused due to leprosy, or tuberculosis, if the Sun is in 8th, while Saturn is in 6th. 15. If the Sun is in the Ascendant at birth, the native will be subjected to mental worries and will have no place of his own. 16. The child will die instantly, if Rahu is in the Ascendant, or in 8th and is in aspect to the Moon. Even Indra cannot save such child. 17. The native will have a life-span of 100 years, if two Angles are occupied by Jupiter and Venus, while the Sun is in 12th and Mercury is in Lagna. 18. There will be no Arishtas (evils), if Jupiter is in an Angle, or in a Trine, or in own House/exaltation House, as the Lagna. This will be so throughout the life. 19. There will be no evils whatsoever, if one of Jupiter, Venus and Mercury is in an Angle and with positional strength. 20. Should the Sun be in the 9th in Leo, the native will not have a surviving co-born. If however, one exists, he becomes a king. 26. If Rahu is in Karma Sthana i.e. the 10th house, identical with own house and in the company of Mars, Mercury and Venus, the native will sometimes prosper and yet sometimes will have downfall. 27. The subject is born in a mean descent, if malefics are in the 2nd, Rahu is in the 3rd and Jupiter is in the 5th. 28. The native will head many people, if Jupiter is in Leo, while Venus is in virgo, Saturn is in Gemini and Mars in the 4th identical with own house. 39. Should Saturn be in Virgo along with the Moon, while Mars is in the sign Capricorn, Rahu in Aquarius and, Jupiter in Leo, the native will destroy the band of his enemies. One born with such planetary array will not be an ordinary man. He will advance his family to a good state and enjoys RajaYoga. 40. SOME INTERESTING POINTS FROM ‘MANTRESWARA’S PHALA DEEPIK Issues related to children::A’:: By Shri AV PATHI Chennai

SOME INTERESTING POINTS FROM ‘MANTRESWARA’S PHALA DEEPIKA’:: Issues related to children:: 1. Sloka 5 Adyaya 12: ‘MANDAM SUTHARSHAM…..’: “When the inaspecious planet occupies the Lagna: the Lord of the Lagna is in the 5th house; Lord of the 5th house is parked in the 3rd house; the Moon were to occupy the 4th houe; then the native will be devoid of children. 2. Same Sloka as above: If the Moon occupies an odd sign or an odd Navansha identical with 5th house and is aspected by the Sun, the native is either worried by his children or he is without them. 3. Sloka 4 Ady 12 :: ‘PAPPE LAGNE….’: The following four Yogas cause extinction of the family : (a)the 4th, the 7th and the 10th houses in a birth chart being occupied respectively by a malefic planet, Venus and the Moon; (b) the 12th, the 8th, the 5th, and Lagna being occupied by inauspicious planets : (c) Venus and Mercury in 7th House, Jupiter in the 5th and malefic in 4th houses; and (d) the Moon in the 5th and malefic in the 8th, 12th and in lagna. (Event to happen: Pl. Check in the Desha period the combination of these active planets in this yoga) 4. Sloka 6 Ady 12:: ‘NEECHAARIMOODOPAGATHE…..’ when the sign in the 5th house belongs to Saturn or Mercury and is aspected by or associated with Mandi or Jupiter, the native will have son by adoption. The same will be result if the Lord of the 5th house is weak and is not associated with the Lords of the 1st and 7th houses in any way. - By Shri AV PATHI Chennai

Significance-of-108 : by Smt. Urmil Jain

· Significance-of-108 The Indian Subcontinent rosary or set of mantra counting has 108 beads. 108 has been a sacred number in the Indian Subcontinent for a very long time. This number is explained in many different ways. The ancient Indians were excellent mathematicians and 108 may be the product of a precise mathematical operation (e.g. 1 power 1 x 2 power 2 x 3 power 3 = 108) which was thought to have special numerological significance. Powers of 1, 2, and 3 in math: 1 to 1st power=1; 2 to 2nd power=4 (2x2); 3 to 3rd power=27 (3x3x3). 1x4x27=108 Sanskrit alphabet: There are 54 letters in the Sanskrit alphabet. Each has masculine and feminine, shiva and shakti. 54 times 2 is 108. Sri Yantra: On the Sri Yantra there are marmas where three lines intersect, and there are 54 such intersections. Each intersections has masculine and feminine, shiva and shakti qualities. 54 x 2 equals 108. Thus, there are 108 points that define the Sri Yantra as well as the human body. 9 times 12: Both of these numbers have been said to have spiritual significance in many traditions. 9 times 12 is 108. Also, 1 plus 8 equals 9. That 9 times 12 equals 108. Heart Chakra: The chakras are the intersections of energy lines, and there are said to be a total of 108 energy lines converging to form the heart chakra. One of them, sushumna leads to the crown chakra, and is said to be the path to Self-realization. Marmas: Marmas or marmastanas are like energy intersections called chakras, except have fewer energy lines converging to form them. There are said to be 108 marmas in the subtle body. Time: Some say there are 108 feelings, with 36 related to the past, 36 related to the present, and 36 related to the future. Astrology: There are 12 constellations, and 9 arc segments called namshas or chandrakalas. 9 times 12 equals 108. Chandra is moon, and kalas are the divisions within a whole. Planets and Houses: In astrology, there are 12 houses and 9 planets. 12 times 9 equals 108. Gopis of Krishna: In the Krishna tradition, there were said to be 108 gopis or maid servants of Krishna. 1, 0, and 8: 1 stands for God or higher Truth, 0 stands for emptiness or completeness in spiritual practice, and 8 stands for infinity or eternity. Sun and Earth: The diameter of the sun is 108 times the diameter of the Earth. Numerical scale: The 1 of 108, and the 8 of 108, when added together equals 9, which is the number of the numerical scale, i.e. 1, 2, 3 ... 10, etc., where 0 is not a number. Smaller divisions: The number 108 is divided, such as in half, third, quarter, or twelfth, so that some malas have 54, 36, 27, or 9 beads. Islam: The number 108 is used in Islam to refer to God. Jain: In the Jain religion, 108 are the combined virtues of five categories of holy ones, including 12, 8, 36, 25, and 27 virtues respectively. Sikh: The Sikh tradition has a mala of 108 knots tied in a string of wool, rather than beads. Chinese: The Chinese Buddhists and Taoists use a 108 bead mala, which is called su-chu, and has three dividing beads, so the mala is divided into three parts of 36 each. Stages of the soul: Said that Atman, the human soul or center goes through 108 stages on the journey. Meru: This is a larger bead, not part of the 108. It is not tied in the sequence of the other beads. It is the quiding bead, the one that marks the beginning and end of the mala. Dance: There are 108 forms of dance in the Indian traditions. Pythagorean: The nine is the limit of all numbers, all others existing and coming from the same. ie: 0 to 9 is all one needs to make up an infinite amount of numbers. by Urmil Jain on Thursday, 26 April 2012 at 18:22

For judging any aspect of life the following factors must be carefully examined before result is reached: (a) The concerned house (study all twelve houses before concerned house is taken for study) – its strength and the sign in it; (b) The owner of the house – its strength, location and nature for the ascendant; (c) The Karaka for the house (most important) –its location in house and sign, nature and strength; (d) The planets associated with, aspecting or in sambandha with the owner of the selected house for study; (e) –DO- the karaka of the selected house for study; (f) The planets aspecting and/or occupying the house under study – their nature/relation with the ascendant, their ownership of different houses and their strength. 2. The affairs of the houses owned by a planet will flourish if the depositors of the planet in the birth and the navansha charts are powerful. 3. The affairs indicated by a house will manifest themselves completely if the owner of the house, the occupier of the house, the Karaka for the house, the beneficial planets aspecting the house and the house itself are all powerful; 4. No planet damages its own house or its own house of exaltation – which ever the count of house from ascendant- if it is located there. A malefic planet in its own house or house of exaltation will promote the affairs (portfolio) of the house. 5. A house will be considered strong if: (i) the owner of the house is strong; (ii) The house is (a) occupied or aspected by its owner; (b) occupied or aspected by planets beneficial for the chart (if not combust or weak) (c) hemmed in by planets that are beneficial for the chart or such planets aspect houses immediately on both sides of the house. AV Pathi Chennai (FB page Astrology & Remedies)

>" क्या प्रकृति बदली जा सकती है " ? by Swami Mrigendra Saraswati

______________________ by Swami Mrigendra Saraswati नारायण !

Madhya Parashari Chapter 8 Vimshottari Dasa Phala Adhyaya: penned by Shri Navin Kumar On ICAS NC FB page.

Navin Kumar Madhya Parashari Chapter 8 Vimshottari Dasa Phala Adhyaya 1. We will include the Astrological results (good or bad) of the Nakshatra Dasha Paddhati as shown in Vimshottari System; and do not believe in Ashtottari System (This shloka is a repeat of the Shloka 3 in chapter 1 of of Laghu Parashari). 2. Starting with Krittika the Nakshatras from Krittika to the Janama Nakshatra (natal constellation) are divided by nine and the remainder will stand for the Lord of the commencing Dasha. The remaining periods will be of the planets in the order given below: The Sun, the Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Ketu and Venus. 3-5. The periods of the Dashas of the Sun, Moon, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Ketu and Venus are 6, 10, 7, 18, 16, 19, 17, 7 and 20 respectively. Thus the life span has been taken as 120 years in Vimshottari. 6-8. For the natives of the Aries Asc. (Ascendant) Saturn, Mercury-Venus are inauspicious; Jupiter and the Sun are auspicious. But when there is relationship between Jupiter and Saturn the former (Jupiter) is bereft of his goodness (qualities). This is transferred by evil association only. Venus by owning the Marakasthana should be a Markesh; but this alone does not imbibe this quality in him. Malefics become Marakas by their association with Saturn etc. Moon and Mars are neutrals. Such are the good-bad Yogas for the Aries Ascendant-native. 9-10. For the natives of Taurus Ascendant (Asc.) Jupiter-Venus-Moon are evil; Saturn, Mercury are good; Saturn alone is a Raj Yoga Karaka, Mars-Jupiter-Venus and Moon are Marakas and the Sun is neutral. So should the learned read the effects of Taurus born natives. 11-12. For the natives of Gemini Asc. (Ascendant) Mars-Jupiter and the Sun are evil. Venus alone is auspicious. As Saturn conjoined with Jupiter is considered evil for Aries born, so is their association for the Gemini born. Moon being a Markesh is not a killer. She gives 'Nishphala' effects (fruitless) only. So should the wise consider the effects of the Gemini born. 13-14. For the natives of Cancer Asc. (Ascendant) Venus-Mercury are evil; Mars-Jupiter are good. Mars only is especially a Yoga Karaka. Saturn is a Maraka and other malefics are also Marakas. 15-16. For the natives of Leo Asc. (Ascendant) Mercury-Venus are evil; Mars-Jupiter are good. Relationship between Jupiter-Venus does not become Yogakaraka. Mercury and other malefics are Marakas. 17-18. For the natives of Virgo Asc. (Ascendant) Mars-Jupiter-Moon are evil. Venus only is auspicious. Venus + Mercury are Yoga Karaka. Though Venus is Markesh, she owns the 9th also: therefore, is not a Maraka. Mars etc. other planets are Marakas. So should the learned read the Virgo Asc. Chart. 19-20. For the natives of Libra Asc. (Ascendant) Jupiter, Sun-Mars are evil; Saturn-Mercury are good; Moon-Mercury are Raja Yoga Karaka; Mars, a Maraka; Jupiter-Sun-Mars are also Marakas and Venus is neutral - so should the learned know of the planets of Libra Asc. Charts. 21-22. For the natives of Scorpio Asc. (Ascendant) Mercury-Mars-Venus are evil; Jupiter-Moon are good; the Sun-Moon are Raja Yoga Karaka. Jupiter even by owning the 2nd (Maraka) is not Markesh. Mercury etc. other evil planets are Marakas. So should the learned know the effects of planets of Scorpio Asc. born. 23-24. For the natives of Sagittarius Asc. (Ascendant) Venus is the only evil planet; Mars - the Sun are good; the Sun - Mercury are Yogakaraka; Saturn is the Chief Markesh; but does not kill. In the same way Venus etc. evil planets in their Dashas and Antar prove to be fatal and show all the killing qualities. 25-26. For the natives of Capricorn Asc. (Ascendant) Mars, Jupiter and Moon are evil; Venus and Mercury are good; Saturn being a Markesh is not a killer; Mars etc. other malefics, when they have Maraka characteristics become such. Only Venus is a Yoga Karaka. 27-28. For the natives of Aquarius Asc. Jupiter, Moon and Mars are evil; only Venus is good and Yoga Karaka. When Jupiter, Moon and Mars show Maraka characteristics they become Markesh. 29-30. For the natives of Pisces Asc. Saturn, Venus, the Sun and Mercury are evil. Mars and Moon are good. Mars + Jupiter are Yoga Karaka. in spite of the Maraka characteristics Mars does not become a Markesh. Saturn and Mercury are Marakas. So should the learned accept the effects on Pisces born natives. 31-32. The learned should decide about the Maraka planets according to these principles. Except the Sun and Moon all the other planets are Marakas if they own the Maraka houses. The Markesh does not prove to be fatal in his Dasha or Antar. He kills in the Antar of an evil planet in his own Maha Dasha. Judgement of Houses - 9 Indications of houses from 1st to 12th. This brings to the end of Vimshottari Dasha Phala Adhyaya penned by Shri Navin Kumar On ICAS NC FB page.

" बुद्धियोग और सकाम कर्म " by Swami Mrigendra Saraswati !!

" बुद्धियोग और सकाम कर्म " by Swami Mrigendra Saraswati !!

SOME notes on Purchase of a house/flat/immovable property: Sri AV Pathi

SOME notes on Purchase of a house/flat/immovable property: 11th house in a birth chart for Natal from Lagna indicates acquisition of any material as personal procession. The 4th Bhava scrutiny points possibility of owning a property, say house/flat. 11th house shows gains which one can have. The 12th house will indicate parting of cash/value in the process of acquisition. So, the houses 4, 11 and 12 will be activated to arrive at the possibility of owning a house/flat. Unless we pay for its value we cannot own a property. Then, we have to find out which Planets occupy –occupy- these houses. Also we should examine which are planets positioned in other houses which are in the same star of these occupant/s. The Planets in the common constellation will have part to play for the ownership of the property. Suppose, Planets occupy either one or more of the three houses (4, 11,&12) and the rest is empty, still possibility of gaining a house/flat could be reached in the working under rules. Here the 9th or 6th houses will also operate. 7th house denotes the person who sells. 6th house is 12th to 7th house. This will point to the cause of seller. 9th house is 12th to 10th house (gain) which is 4th to 7th house. Now check any of these planets have common constellation to cause smooth possibility of gaining a house/flat by the natal whose chart is studied. To receive loan, if necessary, to have this property: This is based on the ability of repayment. Houses 8 and 12 indicate the repayment in as much as 2 and 6 indicate borrowing. When these will fructify? :: Check the related Vim.Dasha/ bukti and Anthra of the above suggested combinations, as well as Planets in the same constellation activated in a particular period. You can arrive in confirming the time and possibility of purchasing the property. - Shri AV Pathi Chennai

Tulsi ke gun

वास्तु - विद्या " by Swami Mrigendra Saraswati

by Swami Mrigendra Saraswati
------------------------------------------

Gandanta
Gandanta is the junction points in the zodiac that a particularly connected with times of soul growth. This is the position of the zodiac where the where the solar and lunar Zodiac meet. These points are at the junctions of Pisces (Revati)- Aries (Ashwini), Cancer (Ashesha)- Leo (Magha), Scorpio (Jyeshta)- Sagittarius (Mula). They are especially powerful in giving Karmic effects.

Degrees Rashi Nakshatra Amsha/pada
Degrees Rashi Nakshatra Amsha/pada

0º00- 3º20 Aries. Ashwini Aries
26º40-30º00 Cancer. Ashlesha Pisces
0º00- 3º20. Leo Magha Aries
26º40-30º00 Scorpio Jyeshta Pisces
0º00- 3º20 Sagittarius. Mula Aries

Gand means a knot. Anta means the end. Gandanta means the knot at the end. A well-tied knot is that it is very difficult to unravel. The more you try to untie the knot, the tighter it becomes. Gandanta represents a knot within ourselves, a deep issue, which we are trying to reconcile with. When planets are placed in these positions, then they face uncertainty as they try to unravel the secret knot that will take them on to the next level. These issues make themselves felt in the life of the individual, through personal relationships, traumatic events or inner struggles. When life crystallises at a certain we have to go through a particularly trying time to prepare our minds for the next step in the journey of our soul. This can only take place once you have reconciled with where you are at present. You cannot deny the present, if you want to move on to the future. The positioning of planets in the Gandanta is particularly powerful. This indicates a very special purpose for this birth. There can be many difficulties to be faced, adjustments to be made in life as we move towards one level of spiritual growth into the second level. This can be a very good position as well as it can create balance as you learn to come to terms with the reality of today. That is essential if you have to move forward. This mental adjustment usually opens the knot and brings happiness

Aries or Pisces are the gandanta navamshas but not all Aries and Pisces navamshas are gandanta. So when analysing them, you must be aware of this. Three planets placed in Aries navmasha, only one may be struggling with the gandanta energy.
The exact degrees of Gandanta are 2 ghati(48') from the edge of the sign. So the closer the planet is at the edge of the rashi, the more it is tied in a spiritual knot and harder it is to unravel the knot.

There are three kinds of Gandanta.

1. The Lagna Gandanta
2. The Nakshatra Gandanta
3. The Tithi Gandanta

The Lagna Gandanta is when the ascendant sign falls within 14 minutes of these degrees either side. The Nakshatra Gandanta is when the Moon is situated within 48 minutes either side of these points. Tithi is the lunar day and Tithi gandanta happens at the end of the tithi and beginning of another.

The belief is when life crystallises at a certain point then we journey towards the higher manifestation of the soul and the consciousness. We have to go through a particularly trying time to prepare our minds for the next step in the journey of our soul. If you are born in any of the gandanta, you can expect some spiritual difficulties in this birth. A lack of support, a sense of transformation.

The Moon in the Nakshatra Gandanta is particularly powerful as also shows that one is born at the end of a dasha. Just after birth, he dasha changes, bring turmoil at the beginnig of life. Although this can happen to the parents as we are unaware as a child of what is happening. Its effect is with us for the rest of life. There can be many difficulties to be faced, adjustments to be made in life as we move towards one level of spiritual growth into the second level.

The Gandanta
The gandanta always takes place between Water and Fire Signs and navamshas. Water and Fire- Agni and apas are two contrary elements. Fre can heat up the water and water can extinguish fire. So negotiating this area of chart is complex but it is also the area where the maximum spiritual developmet takes place. Any planet placed in gandanta is in a difficult position and will have to face material issues in regard to its house rulerships and significations. If Venus is in gandanta, then relationships and marriage will be the area of insecurity.

The Pisces/Revati and Aries/ Ashwini Gandanta shows the ending of one cycle of soul growth and beginning of it’s next stage. This is the level that the inner self begins it’s journey of life. Each journey implies within it an ending of a cycle. If the Moon is in the Pisces portion of the Gandanta, it relates to ending experiences, where the soul has reached it’s full maturity at the present level of soul growth and it’s ready to move onto another cycle of life where a different set of issues will confront him. In the Aries/ Ashwini portion of Gandanta, here the soul is connected to the past life but knows it is at the threshold of another. This creates confusion and powerful influences which are at times difficult to understand. Is this an old experience you are living through or there are fresh encounters to undertake. Moon’s position in this juncture reveals a past life connection which is strong.
The Cancer/ Ashlesha and Leo/ Magha Gandanta is where the soul endings it’s search and now finally moves towards it’s full involvement into material life. The Cancer/ Ashlesha stage is where the search in the experience of life is complete. Psychological changes happen. The ruling deity of Ashlesha is Naga - the wise serpents. At this stage there is the shedding of the skin to grow another one. This experience which changes the mind and the psyche can be extremely painful but it is necessary for the soul to grow into another dimension. At the Magha/ Leo stage, the soul is finally getting ready to experience life at a material level. This is a junction point, therefore the intellectual changes which it has already experienced at the Cancer/ Ashlesha level are still very strong. There is again the connection to the past life here.

Scorpio/Jyeshta and Sagittarius Mula Gandanta is the most difficult one as it moves the inner soul towards it’s final direction towards merging with the universal consciousness. This is the stage where the material ties are being shattered and the soul realises it’s true spiritual direction. This is where the maximum churning of the inner emotions take place. Even when the soul recognises it’s path towards it true nature, it fights against it. This is never an easy task. It creates many psychological or physical blocks that need to be tackled with great maturity. At the Scorpio/ Jyeshtha stage, the is immense churning of the inner emotions, this is where material sheaths break up and it leads to an inner change. if there is a resistance to a change then it makes it very difficult for the person. On a material level this can be unfortunates whereas on a spiritual level it leads towards activating your Kundalini or latent power. At the Mula/ Sagittarius stage, the soul recognises it has to change and in many ways it already has. But it still remains ties to it’s past life and it’s earthly needs which Moola which means the root suggests. This roots is buried in the ground or in deep material realms and it need to break the outer crust of earth to reach towards it’s higher potential.

Pushkara Navamsha

Navamsha is the most important varga. Planet positions in their navamsha finally decide whether they are strong or weak in the chart. Do they feel supported or not. Therefore Pushkara navamshas become very important. They are specific areas in charts that nourish which give planets the capacity to heal and regenerate themselves. This special navamsha allow the personality to flourish. Regardless of the situation of the planet, its qualities become replenished. It is always the navamsha ruled by the same signs within the same elements that become pushkara. Study the table below for further clarification.
Pushkara navamsha table by signs and elements

23 deg 20 to 26 deg 40 Taurus
Water- Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces 00 deg 00to 03 deg 20 Cancer
06 deg 40 to 10 deg 00 Virgo
While there are two Pushkara in each sign, they do not fall in Aries, Gemini, Leo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Aquarius navamshas. These navamshas can be taken as points of personal development, where individual learns from their own mistakes. Aries, Gemini, Leo and Aquarius are male signs and their navamsha may use up all the energy available to them not try to regenerate the planetary qualities. Scorpio and Capricorn are female signs but these are complex areas within signs. Scorpio creates sudden transformation and Capricorn makes planet feel very burdened, even if they are well placed. As Capricorn makes us face up to our karmic responsibilities and therefore we are not able to nurture the soul.
If planets are placed in these navamshas, it should not be taken as minus points. What needs to be understood that these planets have to be self-motivated, their job in this life uses up some of the positive energy saved from previous lives, and therefore pushkara does not nourish them. That may not be negative, just the way life is. Not everything can be saved up or nurtured. But by being aware of these qualities, we can make sure that we learn to nourish them through our actions.
Pushkara navamsha can be classified through nakshatras padas as follows
Ketu Nakshatras (Ashwini, Magha, and Mula) do not have any pushkara navamsha.

3rd pada (Libra) of Venus nakshatras- Bharani, Purva Phalguni, Purva Ashadha

1st pada, Sagittarius and 4th pada, Pisces of Sun nakshatras- Krittika, Uttara Phalguni, Uttara Ashadha

2nd pada Taurus of Moon nakshatras- Rohini, Hasta, Shravana

Mars (Mrigasira, Chitra, and Dhanishta) do not have any pushkara navamsha.

4th pada Pisces of Rahu nakshatra- Ardra, Swati and Shatabhishak

2nd pada (Taurus) and 4th pada (Cancer) of Jupiter nakshatras- Punarvasu, Vishakha, Purva Bhadra

2nd pada (Virgo) of Saturn nakshatra- Pushya, Anuradha, Uttara Bhadra
Mercury (Ashlesha, Jyeshta, and Revati) do not have any pushkara navamsha.
Ketu nakshatra are beginning stages for the development for the soul. These stages can be very intense and therefore personal effort and the struggle of the soul to live a material life is there. In Ketu nakshatras, the soul is taking a new step in its development, so it uses up some of its accumulated nourishment. So while they are aspiring for moksha, their very action depletes their collected good karma and planets find it difficult to find nourishment in these circumstances. That does not make it wrong or bring weakness but pushkara cannot thrive. The soul cannot change the situation and in its pursuit for the next level of development, they have to use up some of their equity. It is like taking a loan for present development, which will bring future rewards. But the present will make them feel burdened.

Mercury nakshatras are areas of transformation where the debris of all soul’s negativity gets collected, the soul struggles to make the changes, the mind is active trying to make sense of their circumstances. The planets struggle to transcend, therefore there is no calmness and stillness provided by Pushkara. Planets use up their energy and do not always feel nourished.
The pushkara navamshas throw up some interesting points. The rulerships of the navamshas are by benefic planets. Jupiter and Venus ruler nine pushkara each, one in fire, earth and air elements, whereas Moon and Mercury rule one each in Water elements. Water signs are known as moksha houses as well. Moksha houses are about self-realisation and the rulership of Moon and Mercury- the two planets of the mind should that we have to nourish our mind before we can aspire to realise ourselves. Another way of looking at it is that a nourished and quiet mind helps us to go towards self-realization.
The planets that are not placed in pushkara need to be energized, as they do not have the capacity to nourish themselves.

Pushkara Bhaga

Pushkara bhaga are specific degrees where planets become especially auspicious to do good. The exact degree is becomes very powerful agent for being positive, whereas the navamsha is still powerful but not as intense as the degree. Pushkara degrees are used for Muhurta. Choosing the muhurta lagna on a pushkara bhaga makes that a very auspicious moment.
Jataka Parijata- Adhyaya 1 Shloka 58 gives the following degrees:
21º Aries (Libra Navamsha)
19º Leo (Virgo navamsha)
23º Sagittarius (Libra Navamsha)
These three in Venus nakshatras and Fire signs
14º Taurus (Taurus navamsha and vargotamma- Moon nakshatra),
9º Virgo (Pisces navamsha- Sun nakshatra),
14º Capricorn (Taurus Navamsha- Moon nakshatra)
Above Three in Earth signs

18º Gemini (Pisces navamsha- Rahu nakshatra),
24º Libra (Taurus Navamsha- Jupiter nakshatra),
19º Aquarius (Pisces Navamsha- Rahu nakshatra)
Above three in Air signs

8º Cancer (Virgo Navamsha)
11º Scorpio (Libra Navamsha),
9º Pisces (Virgo Navamsha)
Above three in Saturn nakshatras and Water signs
Pushkara degrees given by CS Patel in his book Nadi and Navamsha astrology are:
21º of Fire signs: 21º Aries, 21º Leo, and 21º Sagittarius (Venus nakshatras)
14º in Earth signs: 14º Taurus, 14º Virgo, and 14º Capricorn (Moon nakshatras)
24º in Air signs: 24º Gemini, 24º Libra, and 24º Aquarius (Jupiter Nakshatras)
7º in Water signs: 7º Cancer, 7º Scorpio, 7º Pisces (Saturn nakshatras)
According to the CS Patel, Bhagas are not found in Ketu, Sun, Mars, Rahu and Mercury nakshatras while Jataka Parijata has pushkara bhaga in Rahu and Sun nakshatras but not in Ketu, Mars and Mercury nakshatras.
Mostly the Jataka Parijata pushkara bhaga degrees are used. I am also using Jataka Parijata bhagas as it gives these actual degrees in the text. Plus it resonates with my research.

I have been infomred by one of his students that CS Pate'ls information is from Purva Kalamrita. Do research both sets of degrees and come up with your own conclusions.

How to use Pushkara Bhaga and Navamsha.

Jataka Parijata says that pushkara should be used in muhurta, natal and any other factor under consideration. Other factors under consideration are in prashna and maybe relationship compatibility.
Muhurta: There are 24 pushkara navamsha and 12 pushkara therefore every hour a pushkara navamsha rises and every two hours a pushkara degree rises. Therefore when you need to find an auspicious time in a hurry, you can chose a pushkara navamsha or a pushkara degree. Some degrees reflect both the navamsha and degree of pushkara. In Taurus, the pushkara navamsha and the degree are vargotamma; therefore that particular position is extremely strong. Generally when planning a muhurta, it would be good to choose a pushkara degree or navamsha rising. This protects the chart and gives it a benefic quality. To have the benefic planets, lagna lord, 9th lord, 5th lord as well as the lord of the house for which you are performing the muhurta (10th career, 4th- home) to be in pushkara navamsha will further fortify the chart.
Natal: Remember pushkara is added on knowledge. You should analyse the chart by all traditional methods and then study the chart to see whether any planets are placed in pushkara bhaga or navamsha. If a chart does not appear to have any great strength but it has ascendant in pushkara bhaga and 10th lord in pushkara degree, the quality of the is chart changes and your analysis will be different. The chart is showing extra ordinary strength with both the lagna and 10th lord fortifies. Pushkara will bring strength to the chart, nourish it after it has used up some of its energy. The individual may not immediately gain the strength, but is guided through these auspicious degrees to work with their issues, accept them and learn to overcome them.

Planet in an exact degree is stronger than the bhaga so the quality will be more intense. If you have Sun exalted in 21º Aries, it is in pushkara navamsha and bhaga. But this is also the debilitated navamsha of the Sun. Sun debilitated by navamsha shows hidden lack of confidence, need for support of others, and low self esteem. The weakness indicated by the Sun in its debilitated navamsha is being over-ridden by the fact that the Sun is pushkara both in navamsha and bhaga. Therefore an individual may experience some weaknesses of this debilitation, but they are quickly able to overcome it and make the Sun, its karakas, house rulerships etc positive. Low esteem will be there but the person learn confidence, pushkara will make them feel strong instead of weak.

All texts say lagna, lagna lord, and 10th lords in Pushkara gives great strength and good luck to the birth chart. In my experience, the more planets in pushkara, the stronger the chart. The lagna is a pushkara degree or navamsha brings fortune and success. If the lord of a house is placed in pushkara or the bhava Madhya of the house is placed in pushkara, this strengthens it and makes it a force to do good. Pushkara imparts sweetness to the chart that brings in higher qualities of goodness, spiritual aspirations and material success as.

Those who have their rajayoga karaka in pushkara or their yogas taking place in pushkara, they are specially blessed. This enhances an already strong position to something sublime.

The experience of pushkara is during their dashas. If the dasha lord is in pushkara or the lord of bhava Madhya that are pushkara, it will give special results in relationship to its signification’s.

Also watch when planets go into their pushkara positions by transit. In June 2005, many planets, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Sun while as I write this article (23 July2005) only Saturn and Sun are pushkara in 6º Cancer. But Saturn is combust and Saturn is spoiling Sun. Therefore the ability of these planets to do good is limited. But their being in pushkara position, it suggests that despite their limitations and the pain that this conjunction has generated is there, but also there is hope and capacity for improvement.

Prashna: If the prashna ascendant falls in pushkara or the karaka falls in pushkara, there will be a good ending. Lets suppose the question was about buying a new home. 4th lord is Mercury and is placed in the 8th house in Taurus navamsha in Libra. The immediate answer would be that there is difficulty in buying the house. But this is a pushkara navamsha; therefore there are some underlying factors that will make this negative aspect positive. It may be that not buying the house saved you from a big loss or there may be a better property ahead so not buying this property will be for your good in the long run.

Relationships: if Venus, the karaka of relationships is placed in 14º Virgo. Now Venus in Virgo would usually create problems with relationships but the pushkara aspect will nourish Venus, make it feel supported and that would have good effect for relationships.
Your lagna lord is pushkara in your partner’s chart or vice versa means that you have the ability to nourish your partners. The karakas Venus and Jupiter in pushkara degrees help make partnerships good. If a woman has Jupiter in pushkara, then she will experience good partners and children. A pushkara Venus gives nourishing relationships.

(1) RED COLOUR :
Red can be used in treating irregularities in blood circulation, but it is not very conducive to people who suffer from mental maladies. If your natural choice is the colour red, you are the outgoing type. You not only act on impulse, but you are prone to abrupt mood swings. You have a lot of compassion for fellow human beings and can be easily persuaded. Though you have an optimistic approach to life, you don\'t hesitate to grumble and complain as well. Your spontaneous nature is assertive, you freely voice your opinions. You have a strong sex drive and are likely to end up having extra-marital affairs, unless your strong sense of duty restrains you from indulging in wild fantasies.

(2) ORANGE COLOUR :
Orange, being the colour of many fruits and vegetables, stands for nourishment and also represents the attractive force between elements. The choice of this colour shows that you are basically good-natured and loyal. You are sociable but at the same time you tend to be swayed by the opinions of other people. You are a generous soul, sincere at heart. Your gestures are friendly, and inspired by goodwill. More often than not, you are overtaken by feelings of wanton elation.

(3) YELLOW COLOUR :
Yellow fruits and vegetables generally act as laxatives to the bowel and also soothe the nerves. If you have preference for yellow, it shows that you have a vivid imagination and lots of nervous energy. Your thoughts are clear and well organised. You do harbour a need to help the world, but you won\'t get the dirt under your fingernails doing that. Deep down you are a shy person and a loner; perhaps that\'s what makes you a reliable friend. You may not show it, but you would actually love to be respected and admired for your prudence.

(4) GREEN COLOUR :
While yellow-green stimulates generous feelings, spring green heralds new life. Preference for the colour green shows that you are a dutiful citizen. You are not only aware but also sensitive to social customs, and bear a good name in your community. Your choice also indicates your honesty and straightforwardness. You have a normal sex drive and are very emotionally attached to your family. You have the potential to be an excellent teacher.

(5) BLUE COLOUR :
Too much of blue on the other hand could be a depressing influence. If your personal colour is blue, you are introspective and purposeful by nature. You hold conservative beliefs and under stressful conditions, prefer to withdraw into gentler surroundings. You seem to have a lot of control over your passions and desires, but are sensitive to the needs and feelings of others, nonetheless. You are a loyal friend and would prefer to lead a sober life.

(6) PURPLE COLOUR :
If your choice is purple, then you are intelligent and quick-witted. You have a keen eye for detail, things which are normally overlooked by people. You are infuriated at the slightest provocation. You tend to be extremely effusive in your expressions of grief. You are a creative person and an egotist of sorts. You seem to possess a cultivated taste for the subtle in life, while recognizing the magnificent.

(7) BROWN COLOUR :
Interestingly, this dull shade is also thought of as representing the plane from which beauty is born, and thus serves as an excellent backdrop for art objects. A personal choice of the colour brown implies that you are meticulous when it comes to work, thrifty when it comes to money, and adamant in your beliefs. You are a very reliable and composed person, not impulsive at all. You can rival a seasoned horse trader in your talent for striking the best bargain.
