HORA CHART:
‘HORA’ – like Navansha chart – is NOT constructed as a chart., per se, but it is a list of weather each planet is posited in its strong or weak Hora. Dividing the Rasi into two, each Hora is comprised of 15°. The Hora chart distinguishes whether each planet is in the Hora of the Sun or the Moon. In short, a planet is in the Hora of the Sun if it is 0-15° of a masculine sign, i.e. Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius and Aquarius. The other half is said to belong to the Moon Hora. Similarly in the female sign – balance houses – the first half is of the Moon Hora and the second half is to the Sun Hora. It is said that if Sun, Mars, and Jupiter places in the Sun Hora, they are stronger. The Moon, Venus and Saturn, placed in the Moon Hora they become strong.

nday is dominated by the Sun; Monday, the Moon; Tuesday, the Mars; Wednesday, the Mercury; Thursday, the Jupiter; Friday, the Venus; Saturday, the Saturn. This is the order in which the planets rule the Hora hour – as 12 houses of 2 hrs each divided into 2, to mark a Hora for an hour – beginning with the planet of the day as above forming the succeeding planets to rule the successive hours in a day. That is the first sub- division belongs to the planet which rules the hour and then the sub-divisions are governed by the other planets in the above given order.
How this helps?:: This sub- division ruled by an awarded planet in the hour will by a pointer, for arriving – predicting- results in that hour to happen as this example will reveal: On a Wednesday the Hora hour of Saturn is to be avoided for some actions and transactions, so also, in the few minutes of the conjoined periods of Saturn sub-division in the Mercury Hora and Mercury sub division of Saturn Hora are to be avoided. Ex:2: If a person enjoys Jupiter Dasha, Moon Bhukti, he can undertake to do any important work – say, an interview for job or consulting a doctor on serious sickness etc – during the Hora of Jupiter and sub of the Moon.
