Importans of omen in Astrology Presented By Sri Sanjeev Ranjan Mishra (FB PG Astrological Researces..)

Importans of omen in Astrology

Indication present in nature at the time of any event is shukun. Certain indication are always present at the time of any event, it is these indications which some sensitive creature identifies easily before any event. These indications are way back classified by our great Rishis as good and bad omen. In fact omens are not in itself good or bad but they are only indicator. In ancient time kings used to give important respect to the knower of Shakun Shastra. We find important reference of Shakun in classical literature.
As per AGNI Puran omens are of two types
A] Deepta [burning] the result of which is bad.
B] Shant [pacifying] the result of this is good.

Deepta shakun are further classified in six type
A] Bela Deepta Shkun [ omen related as per time] when animals or birds or any creature which are usually seen day time are seen in night or vice versa this is bad omen.
B]Dig Deepta Shakun [omen related to direction] the direction of the sign in which sun is placed is called Jwalita , direction of previous sign from Sun is Dhumita and the direction of sign in which Sun will transit is called Angarini [अन्गारिणी]. Omen in these direction are bad.
C] Desh Deepta Shakun [ place dependent] sight of animals or bird that leave in forest in residential area and vice versa are said to be bad and called desh deepta shakun
D] Kriya Deepta shakun [related to function] when man/woman ,animal, bird behaves or works against is nature this type of omen is also bad.
E] Rut deepta shakun [ pertaining to sound] .harsh, rough and weeping sound are said to be bad omen.
F] Jati Deepta shakun [ pertaining to class] sight of non vegetarian animal is bad omen.

2] shanta shakun [pacifying or good shakun] all things other than above omen are good and their sight and sound at the commencement of any work are good or they indicate success in undertaking. Good omens are white flowers, full vessels, meat, distant noises, an old goat, a cow, a horse, an elephant, fire, gold, silver, a sword, an umbrella, fruit, clarified butter, curds, a conch shell, sugarcane, land a dead body with no one crying over it.
Omens are important even if one is not going on a journey. A peacock crying on
the left means that something is going to be stolen. If a donkey brays with a
broken voice, that is a good omen and something good will happen. If a boar or abuffalo crosses over from the left to right, that is a good omen. But if they cross
over from the right to the left, that is a bad omen. One’s desire will be attained if
horses, tighers, lions, cats or donekys cross over from the right to the left.
Jackals, moles, lizards, pigs and cuckoos are good omens on the left and monkeys
are good omens on the right. If a jackal calls once, twice, thrice or four times,
that is a good omen. It is a bad omen if a jackal calls five or six times. It is a very
good omen if a jackal calls seven times.
If crows caw on the left of an army, the soldiers will not be able to win. If a crow
can be seen near the door of a house, this means that there will soon be a guest. A
crow looking at the sun with one signifies great danger. A crow covered with
mud means the attainment of one’s desires. A dog barking inside the house leads
to the death of the householders. A person whose left limbs are sniffed by a dog,
will attain riches. If the right limbs are sniffed, there will be danger. A dog
blocking one’s path signifies theft. A dog with a bone or a rope in its mouth
means the loss of property. But it is a good omen to see a dog with meat in its
mouth.
Cows mooing irregularly mean threats to the master of the house. If this happens
at night, there will be a theft or death in the house. If this happens at night, there
will be a theft or a death in the house. If the cows have horns that are wet or
daubed with mud, that is a good sign for the householders. A cow that plays with
cranes or doves is bound to die. A cow that licks its feet is also destined to die. If
an elephant strikes its right foot with its left, that is a good sign. Prosperity comes
if an elephant rubs its right tusk with its foot.
There is great danger if an umbrella falls just as one is about to leave .

ANALYSIS ON PROFESSION : Presented by Sri AV Pathi (FB pg Astrological Researches

VARAHA MIHARA AND ANALYSIS ON PROFESSION FROM A CHART:

Shakun : शकुन : Omens : presented by Sri Sanjeev Ranjan Mishra (FB Pg Astrological Researches...)

Shakun : शकुन : Omens : presented by Sri Sanjeev Ranjan Mishra (FB Pg Astrological Researches...)
Astrologer can predict the outcome of a question just by observing the changes in the environment is called ‘Sakuna Sastra’ or ‘Nimitta Sastra’ or Astrology of omens. The word ‘sakuna’ refers to something indicative. ‘Nimitta’ represents something happening at the moment.

There is a story about a lady visiting Varahamihira while he was teaching Astrology to his disciples. The lady said that her husband had gone to a foreign country a few years ago and did not return home and there was no news from him whatsoever. The lady wanted to know whether her husband returns home or not.

At that moment, Varahamihira’s wife entered the hall. She said that she was on the way of drawing the water from the well when suddenly the rope had broken and the bucket fell into the well. This is an indication (Sakuna or Nimitta) that contains answer for the question of the lady who wanted to know about her husband.

Now Varahamihira turned to his disciples for an interpretation of the Sakuna. The disciples said that the lady’s husband would not return as it was a bad omen that the rope was broken and the bucket had fallen into the well. But one disciple said that the lady’s husband would definitely return. Varahamihira asked why? The disciple said that the water in the bucket reached its original place in the well which was an indication that the man returns to his original (native) place. The breakage of rope was not bad since it was broken due to pull of bucket while reaching its original place. Of course, the lady’s husband returned home after 6 months.

So, when a person poses a question to the Astrologer, the Astrologer first should keenly observe the surroundings for any changes happening due to planetary energies. The changes may be in the objects, birds, animals etc around him or sometimes there would be changes in his body also. These changes indicate the answer for the query. But the Astrologer should be able to interpret the indications (Sakuna or Nimitta) properly. Also, the person asking the query should have strong and genuine desire to know the answer. One should never pose questions just for fun or testing. In such cases the interpretations go wrong. Also remember that not all the changes or indication are Sakuna routine changes cannot/should not be taken as Shakun. Same shakun may have different meaning at different condition.

Sun’s northern course [ Uttarayan ] :By Shri Sanjeev Ranjan Mishra (FB Pg Astrological Researches..)

Some facts about Sun’s northern course [ Uttarayan ] :

We kept hearing that Makarsamkranti is Uttarayana. But that.s completely wrong. When we ask what is Uttarayana? We get answer that sun travels north. Dakshinayana is the Sun travelling south. The fact is we have been taught in school that the Earth and other planets circles around the Sun in orbit. So the Sun isn.t moving any north and South. Then why they say the Sun is moving North or South? Are they wrong?
Our great rishi knew that the Earth and the planets are circling around the Sun. What they meant is an astronomical phenomenon that is the apparent motion of the Sun moving north and south in direction . sun moving up and down in latitudes. Longitudes are East and West, Latitudes are North and South. If every day you note down the position of the Sun in sky at the end of the year you can trace the apparent annular path of the Sun in heavens called as ecliptic measured as longitudes. The zodiac (Aries, Tauras etc...) is on this ecliptic. The sky is in 3D hence object appear to move up and down as well in terms of latitudes. Because the Earth is tilted 23.45. degrees the maximum latitude that we can apparently see in sky that the sun is moving north is 23.45. and minimum latitude that we can apparently see in sky that the sun is moving south is -23.45. When the sun hits -23.45. in latitude it.s the point in sky we call it winter solstice. Hence Uttarayana is also the point on that day we.ll see shortest day on the earth and extreme cold weather. As earth continues to circle around the Sun we see the latitudes of the sun gradually increasing towards north this continues till we hit the point where the tilt of the earth is very close to sun . longest day on the earth and from that point days will become short . this point is also called as Dakshinayana.

The season occurs based on tropical sun (without ayanamsha). This is due to earth’s tilt of 23.45 degrees. The earth circles around sun with this tilt. When the tilt is facing the Sun we get summer and when the tilt is away from the Sun we get winter. Because of this tilt it seems like the Sun travels north and south of the equator. This apperant motion of the sun moving up and down in latitude is called Uttarayana – Dakshinayana. The motion of the sun moving towards the north is called Uttarayana. When it is moving towards the south it is called Dakshinayana. This causes rise to seaons. They are dependent on equinoxes and solstices. Hence Actual Uttarayana occurs on December 21st/22nd of every year.
There is a common misconception that Makar Samkranti is the Uttarayana. This is because at one point in time Sayana (Sayana zodiac start with vernal equinox -- 0 degrees of aries) and Nirayana Zodiac (Nirayana zodiac or fixed zodiac starts with some fixed starting point that is 0 degrees of star ashwini or 180 degrees opposite of star chitra) were same. Every year equinoxes slides by 50 seconds due to precision of equinoxes, giving birth to Ayanamsha and causing Makar Samkranti to slide further. Begining of 1000, the sun used to enter makara on December 31st. Begining of 1500 the Sun used to enter makara on January 8th, 1800 the Sun used to enter makara on January 11th. Now its around January 14th and 15th. Every year it slides more. As a result if you think Makar Samkranti is uttarayana then as it’s sliding it will come in June after 9000 years. Hence Makar sankranti [ sidereal Zodiac] and Sun’s uttarayan movement are two different thing. Actual Winter Solstice begins on December 21 or December 22 when the tropical sun enters Makara rashi. Hence actual Uttarayana is December 21.

Sudarshan chakra Dasa a new approach : By Sri Sanjeev Ranjan Mishra (FB Pg Astrological Researches..)

Sudarshan chakra Dasa a new approach : By Sri Sanjeev Ranjan Mishra (FB Pg Astrological Researches..)

Maharishi Parashara said to Maitreya:
O Brahmin! Now I will impart to you the knowledge of great secrecy and superior importance which was communicated to me by Lord Brahma himself for the benefit of the world. This is a chakra by the name of Sudarshana through which Devajanas will be able to predict the favourable and unfavourable results for every year, every month, and every day from the time of birth to the time of death of a person. Listen to this very intently. [BPHS Ch 76- sloke one] In the same chapter he explains the process of calculating Sudarshan chakra dasa. SC Dasa is very simple to calculate – It is12year cycle dasa. It should be judged from Dasa Pravesha charka. Each Dasa has 12 AD and each AD will have 2.5days of PD. 1st year is dasa of 1st house and 12th year is dasa of 12th house and from 13th year again 1st house dasa will start and so on. Here two things are important to point it out.

1] To put it in a different way :

Sudarshan dasa takes d 12 in antar dasa level, d12*12 in pratyanter dasa level and D 1728 in sukshma dasa level into account because the counting is done from the sign itself.

Mahadasa span is equal to a house i.e. 30 degree = one year

Anterdasa is of one month or 30/12 = 2.5 degree or one dwadasmsa maan = one month,

Pratyanterdas is of 2.5 days [60 hours] or 2.5 degree/12 or 150/12= 12.5 minute span of a rashi or D 12*12 division or d 144 division of a rashi.

Sukshma dasa is 60hours/12= 5 hours or 12.5/12= 1.25 minute span of a rashi or D 1728 division.

2] Since one sign is equal to one year or 30 degree =360 days [question of span of year I will discuss later]
1 degree = 360/12  days.

So it is necessary to take into account starting degree of lagna for finding the balance dasa. To make it further clear if ascendant is at 10 degree than it means that 120 days has elapsed [12*10= 120 days] and only 240 has to be passed by the lagna in the first year and so the dasa of 2nd house will start after 240 days not after one year or to put it another way first year will last till 10 degree of second house. Consideration of lagna degree for calculation makes the sudarshan dasa more effective and scientific this I will explain with number of example in subsequent posting.

3] Ascendant [or any planet ] is placed in some degree of zodiac to put it sudarshan chakra analogy it will in some mahadasa [d12] , some anterdasa[d144] and some pratyanterdasa [d1728] these three houses greatly affects the behaviour of that planet and sign. If lagna is 11degree Aries it means that it is in ARIES D1 Leo D12[ 4 sign has elapsed in D12] and Dhanu [D12*12] or the person is born in Aries mahadasa in Leo anterdasa and in Dhanu pratyanterdasa. These three sign and planet placed there in will affect the lagna or the result of 1st year first month and 1st 2.5 days [ or less than that].
