Role of a member in an organisation

 Respected Elders and friends

Namaste.

Very humbly, I share my views.

Admittedly  I am associated with one or two organisations. It is because of you, and our elders.

I have always laboured in my journey with learneds to be honest. In that regard I perceived about : THE ROLE OF A MEMBER IN AN ORGANIZATION. ?

1. That the organization is run on a set of principles to which every like-minded member individually subscribes.

2. The organisation can sustain when all the different elements and stakeholders behave in a mutually symbiotic manner.

3. To sustain, there are certain norms, behaviours and considerations that are expected of the stakeholders.

4. The norms and the systems have to be such that nourish the involved entities.

5. The overarching governing principle of such units of inter-dependent entities helps to define norms, behaviours, duties and codes of conduct for interactions and ensures their symbiotic existence.

6. In an organization the task of the leaders (office bearers) of the organization is to articulate the vision of our elders at every given opportunity and they are duty-bound to expand it as a general appeal.

7. The organization needs to be rooted in our society. It needs to play an active and positive role in the general masses, to put-forth as an upright and justified organization with selfless motives, in the fields we venture.

8. In the process the body should be an agenda driven, setting the formulations as an aggregation of common objectives.

9. That way, it should be amply loud and clear in our minds that any imposition of self interest projection and self praise and individual boastings and blasting’s have to be shelved, forgotten and left behind.

10. The individual drum beater’s for self acclamations would be an stigma on the organization.

11. Such acts may become litany of failures and earn bad name and reputation.

12. The task of selling or spelling self , to weave in for a personal charisma, to generate personal name and money, etc. the trust in the ability of collective leadership is lost or hampered and the vision of our elders is damaged or shaken thus fails to evoke true faith in our fellow colleagues and for future to be a colleague.

Fulfilling this task certainly rests on each individual, but the onus lies more on our collective leadership.

Thank you for yours' love, affection and respect.

Individual horoscope vs Vastu Solutions ? BNS

Namaste

My Dear friends.

During the forced vacations due to Covid lockdowns, I got opportunities to read some of the paper’s published by eminent scholars on Vaastu.

To name a few, I share the Titles as under.

1. Banaras/Kashi/Varanasi A Selected Bibliography (& selected annotations).

2. Rationales for inscribing “The Heritage sites, Riverfront and Pilgrimages Routes of Ayodhya.

3. Sacred Ecology and Transformative Consciousness in Hinduism.

4. Oracle landscape of Orchha.

5. Design of Settlements in the Vaastu.

6. Indian Architectural Theory Contemporary.

7. Dancing Architecture Parallel evolution.

8. Comparative Study Vaastu Shastr.

9.  Building science of Indian temple architecture.

10. VEDIC Vastu A scientific Approach.

××××

Beyond doubt, we got the Gyan of Vastu from our Sages and Rishi’s.

We did inherit instructions about the practice, use of this noble vidya.

As of now, the question raised by learned and commoners is.

Are we  justifying with the instructions in our practice?

I being an inquisitive person, hereby request vastu experts to remove the doubts (crept in the practice of Vastu, jyotish) having thick curtains which frustrate the inquisitive mind.

The question is :

Whether the Vastu study of a property is prime or the property owner's horoscope is prime.

In other word's if I ask, should the horoscopic analysis of the owner of the property be studied first or the Vastu of the property.

And, Should we first suggest remedies in that regard to individual (owner) as per his horoscopic study, or should we directly jump to suggest remedies/alterations etc. for the property.

These questions need serious answers.

I quote hereunder relevant cases, why I have raised such a serious question.

Look at UP, MP, Maharashtra, Bihar.

So many Cotton Mills, Sugar Mills established 150 plus years ago which yielded so much riches, gains, profits in the periods when we were not independent.

And why almost all such industries got vanished after long years, particularly when we got independence.

Once that very composite set yielded riches, and with the passage of time, that very composite set started giving losses.

Note beforehand that almost in all such industries no new construction was carried out.

Meaning that the plot, building, architecture etc. remained the same.

Meaning that the same properties, with same dimensions and architecture which yielded riches for so many years, got to such pity conditions becoming liable for liquidations etc. WHY ?

Underlying point is that, the only change that happened in all these periods were the change of hands of governing individuals.

Read about DCM & MODI Group, JK, Kanpur Group, BIC Eastern India, Mafatlals Gujrat, Madura Coats And Binnys in South, all went to losses after exchange of leadership.

U may recall in recent past One Individual decision.

Sh Ratan Tata conceptualized and announced car in around 1 lakh. Followed by supplementary decisions all went in vain.

Resulting Tata's Nano project.

Singur to Sanand to Shut down.

I admire Shri Ratan Tata ji abilities and capabilities.

Before putting my submissions to rest, I submit the following.

I recall the explanation of a learned vastu consultant, that with the help of the horoscope of a person,  it can be found out that :

Is there any Vastu Dosh in his dwelling house or work place ?  (3rd,4th,5th House's in the horoscope needs attention).

Late Shri Av Sundaram ji Hyderabad, once replied to my said query. I quote.

Dear BNS ji :  I totally agree with you.

It is the native chart important for the results.  VASANTHE NE PRANANO THATRA VASSTU….

think on the sentence is correct.

वासन्ते ने प्राँणों तत्र वास्तु ।।

Where living being live that is Vastu.

I say earth is Vasthu all are not happy…

Cancer is Chara vastu,  your enviorment,

Scrpio is Sthira vasthu your plot,

and Meena is Nitya vastu.. your stay and sleep.

So its the native chart is important. regards.

I wish to add with respect that Late Prof. Av Sundaram ji was :

Icasian by heart.

Mathematician by profession.

Magician by skills.

×××××

Taking note of the above-mentioned lessons :

I understand, that the horoscope(s) of the person(s) have a clear-cut edge to find out the Dosha and remedial measures be suggested to that extent.

Stepping in or moving away from the dwelling place and all its advantages / disadvantages, requires a deliberate concious decision.

In other words, Unhurried and without a rapacious desire.

There should not be any excessive or exploitative act, out of greed or to take advantage of consumers or patrons. (Predatory action).

It is the Individual(s) who controls, governs, owns & pockets the gain. Since his/their horoscope(s) works (according to his fate & freewill) and that should be studied before suggesting any modifications to properties to Vastu.

I share with you a famous dialogue.

Prominent lawyer Mr C.K. Daphtary , while urging a judge to forgive a junior lawyer, said: “My Lord, the young man’s fault is that he has done the right thing in a wrong way.

When he reaches your Lordship’s age and mine, he will learn how to do the wrong thing in the right way.

Taking cue from the quote,

I, humbly submit :

ICAS as a body has now become a seat of learning of Astro branches. Thus every leaf, rib, stem and branch of the tree has its role to play to keep the Tree deeply rooted.

Any of our act under the veil of ICAS for self gains would  jeopardise the image of the ICAS.

Self praise has no space in the institution. Friends, we share collective responsibility.

The lesson of Dr Bv Raman ji our Founder president is worth recalling.

1. Unhealthy trends have seeped into practice of astrology and these must be suitably tackled.

2. To serve the cause of astrology to understand proper understanding of this great science and Eschewing all wrong notions.

(Sd. Dr Bv Raman)

(Dated 5th November 1998)

I feel that the older I grow affinity with ICAS, the more my eyes are wide open for getting, answers of my inquisitive mind.

I am just grasping every opportunity, to graduate.

I don't know how long my learning will continue to be. I treat every query on a serious note and potential. I do not take it as my walkover.

I'm unsure when will it be all over. When will I get the tap on my shoulder, by the learned?

When I look back my past thirty years of journey with ICAS, I feel myself proud. Since I could gain, enrich my study without limping’s.

Thank you all for patient hearing.

Are we masters of our fate ? Shri Nani Palkii wala ji

 With courtsey.

The  Rediff  Special/Nani  Palkhivala

Are  we  masters  of  our  fate? On the  subject  of  destiny,  everyone  of  us  forms  his  own  beliefs  on  the  basis  of his  own  experiences.  All  that  I  propose  to  do  is  to  tell  you  a  few  incidents  in  my own life.

I  request  you  to keep  an  open  mind  and decide,  without  bias  or prejudice,  the  right  conclusions. It  is  erroneous  to  think  that  a  nation  or  an  individual  who  believes  in  fate  is necessarily  backward.  The  Germans  have  begun  to  believe  in  growing  numbers in  the  occult  and  the supernatural.

French  Radio  gives  the  day's  horoscope along  with  the  daily  weather  forecast,  and  France  is  home  to  ten  thousand taxpaying  clairvoyants.  Astrology  has  claimed  reinstatement  at  the  Sorbonne after  having  been  banished  in  1666  under  the  influen ce  of  Descartes.

Some  of  the  greatest  men  have  believed  that  certain  events  in  their  lives  were preordained  and  that  certain  individuals  had  the  rare  gift  or  precognition. An  example  is  that  of  Dr  S  Radhakrishnan,  a  professor  of  philosophy,  who  later becam e  President  of  India.

If  you  read  the  life  of  Dr  Radhakrishnan  by  his  son Gopal,  you  will  come  across  the  following  passage  on  page  143: 'Sometime  during  these  years  when  Radhakrishnan  was  spending  the  summers in  Europe,  he  met  Cheiro,  the  bestknown  palmi st  of  his  day.  Cheiro  studied Radhakrishnan's  palms  and  forecast  that  he  would  reach  the  top,  be  the  head of  a  State,  but  would  before  his  death,  lose  his  mind.

Both  these  prophecies seemed  at  the  time  so  wildly  off  the  mark  that  they  became  a  family  joke. ' The  above  passage  bears  eloquent  testimony  to  two  facts the  gift  of  precognition  by  rare  individuals.- preordination  and One  of  the  most  famous  incidents  is  that  of  Winston  Churchill  who  had  a  lucky escape  from  a  bomb  attack  in  a  car.  On  that  day  he  ha ppened  to  choose  to  sit on  the  far  side  from  his  usual  place.  Lady  Churchill  asked  him  why,  'I  do  not know',  he  replied.  The  he  said,  'Of  course  I  know.  Something  said  to  me  'Stop' before  I  reached  the  car  door  which  was  held  open  for  me.

It  then  seemed  to me  that  I  was  told  I  should  open  the  door  on  the  other  side  and  get  in  and  sit there.'  Needless  to  add,  Churchill  escaped  unhurt.

On the  subject  of  destiny,  let  me  state  what  I  believe:

First,  I  believe  that  the  basic  pattern  of  an  individual's  or  a  natio determined. Secondly,  very  few  individuals  have  the  gift  of  clairvoyance  to  foresee  what  is predetermined.

Thirdly,  guidance  is  sometimes  vouchsafed  to  receptive  human  beings  by means  for  which  there  is  no  scientific  explanation.

Fourthly, I  do  believe  in  the  existence  of  free  will  but  that  again  is  within  pre ordained  parameters.  To  my  mind,  the  simplest  analogy  to  the  case  we  are talking  about  is  that  of  a  dog  on  a  long  leash -move  about  as  far  as  the  leash  pe the  dog  has  the  freedom  to rmits,  but  not  beyond.

I  come  now  to  the  experiences  in  my  life  on  which  I  have  based  the  four beliefs.I  am  alive  today  only  because  of  a  virus  that  infected  me  more  than  40  years ago.

I  was  engaged  to  argue  a  Special  Leave  Petition  which  was  to  be  heard in the  Supreme  Court  on  May  9,  1953.  Chandrakant  Mehta,  a  partner  of  Gagrat  & Company,  was  the  instructing  attorney.  We  booked  our  return  tickets  from Delhi  to  Bombay  by  the  night  flight  on  the  same  day.

On  May  6,  I  developed  a very  bad  cold  with  fever  and had  to  return  the  brief. The  next  day  I  agreed  to  change  my  mind  and  do  the  case  since  it  meant  a  lot to  a  poor  and  deserving  litigant.  But  on  May  8  my  temperature  rose  higher  and I  had  no  option  but  to  return  the  brief  once  again.

C  K  Daphtary,  the  solicitor general,  who  lived  in  Delhi  was  gracious  enough  to  agree  to  step  into  my  place.

Since  I  did  not  go  to  Delhi,  Chandrakant  Mehta,  who  disliked  flying  by  night, went  to  the  airline  office  and  changed  his  own  return  ticket  to  the  morning flight  on  May  10. The  plane,  which  left  Delhi  on  the  late  evening  of  May  9  with a  full  passenger  load,  crashed.

There  were  no  survivors. At  certain  turning  points  in  my  life,  when  I  would  have  made  wrong  decisions with  my  limited  intelligence,

I  have  felt  as  if  my  will  was perceptibly  bent  by some  Higher  Power  which  saved  me  from  myself. In  1968,  Govinda  Menon  was  the  law  minister  in  the  Congress  government.  He pressed  me  to  accept  the  office  of  the  attorneygeneral  of  India.

After  a  great deal  of  hesitation  I  agreed.  When I  was  in  Delhi  I  conveyed  my  acceptance  to him,  and  he  told  me  that  the  announcement  would  be  made  the  next  day.  That night  I  went  to  bed  and  looked  forward  to  my  usual  quota  of  deep  slumber.

But  suddenly  and  inexplicably,  I  became  wide  awake  at  three  o'cl clear  conviction  that  I  should  reverse  my  decision  before  it  was  too  late.

Early  in  the  morning  I  profusely  apologised  to  the  law  minister  for  changing  my mind.  In  the  years  immediately  following,  it  was  my  privilege  to  argue  on behalf  of  the citizen,  under  the  same  Congress  government  and  against  the government,  the  major  cases  which  have  shaped  and  moulded  the constitutional  law  of  India -  Fundamental  Rights  (1972Bank  Nationalisation  (1969),  Privy  Purse  (1970), 73)  and  the  Minerva  Mills  cas e  (1980),  among others.  Thus,  the  most  momentous  decision  of  my  life  was  made  by  a  Force other  than  myself.

One  morning  in  1976  I  invited  Thacker,  who  had  a  gift  for  seeing  into  the future,  for  a  quiet  chat  at  my  residence.

He  said  to  me,  'I  see  you  occupy ing  a beautiful,  spacious  mansion  in  Rome.'  He  continued,  'You  will  stay  there  for about  two  years  though  you  will  have  a  number  of  opportunities  to  come  back to  India.'

I  put  the  incident  out  of  my  mind. In  1977,  when  the  Janata  government  came  to  power,  I  received  a communication  from  Atal  Bihari  Vajpayee  offering  me  the  assignment  of ambassador  of  India  in  Washington.

When  I  went  to  Washington,  the  words  of Thacker  came  back  to  my  mind.  Thacker  had  made  one  mistake -referred  to  Rome  when  actuall he  had y  it  was  in  Washington  that  I  occupied  the beautiful,  spacious  mansion.

I  did  stay  there  for  almost  two  years  during  which period  I  had  the  opportunity  of  coming  back  to  India  a  few  times.

The  most  incredible  experience  of  clairvoyance  or  precognition  in  my  life  was connected  with  Indira  Gandhi's  case  which  culminated  in  the  declaration  of  the Emergency.

The  Allahabad  high  court  had,  in  June  1975,  decided  that  the  election  of  Indira Gandhi  to  Parliament  should  be  set  aside.  That  meant  that  she  would  cease  to be  a  member  of  the  Lok  Sabha  with  a  potential  risk  to  her  prime  ministership. Indira  Gandhi  filed  an  appeal  in  the  Supreme  Court  and  her  application  for interim  relief  was  argued  by  me  on  June  23,  1975.

Justice  Krishna  Iyer  heard  the  application  and  pass ed  the  order  of  interim  relief on  the  next  day.  The  interim  order  was  that,  pending  the  hearing  and  final disposal  of  the  appeal  Indira  Gandhi  could  continue  to  sit  in  the  Lok  Sabha  and participate  in  the  proceedings  of  that  House  like  any  other  member,  an d  could also  continue  to  be  the  prime  minister  of  India.

The  only  restriction  on  her  was  that  she  was  not  given  the  right  to  vote.  The judge  mentioned  that  this  did  not  involve  any  hardship  because  Parliament was  not  in  session  at  that  time  and  that  I  could  renew  the  application  for  the right  to  vote  when  Parliament  reassembled.

On the  plane  which  I  boarded  to  return  to  Bombay,  next  to  me  was  seated  an elderly,  simple  man  dressed  in khadi, what  had  happened  that  day  i carrying  a khadi cloth  bag.

He  asked  me n  the  prime  minister's  case  and  I  told  him  briefly what  the  judge  had  decided.  He  mentioned  the  name  of  a  clairvoyant  in Bangalore  who  had  made  some  predictions  which  he  thought  were  rather curious.

"When  I  left  the  ashram  in  May  1975  the  clairvoyant  told me  that  the prime  minister  would  lose  the  case  which  she  was  fighting  in  the  Allahabad high  court  and  yet,  after  losing  the  case,  she  would  become  the  most  powerful woman in the  world.'

I  came  home,  wondering  what  the  future  would  bring.

In  less  than  36  ho urs the  Emergency  was  declared,  the  invaluable  fundamental  rights  of  the  people were  suspended,  and  the  prime  minister  virtually  acquired  all  the  powers  of the  leader  of  a  totalitarian  State.

That  was  the  black  morning  of  June  26,  1975. I  need  hardly  menti on  that  all  the  predictions  were  accurately  fulfilled -assumption  of  supremacy  which  made  Indira  Gandhi  the  most  powerful woman in the  world,  the  cessation  of  that  supremacy  in  March  1977.

It  would  be  preposterous  to  try  to  give  any the explanation  for  the  episodes  I  have related  truthfully  except  on  the  hypothesis  of  preordination  and  precognition.

When you read Dr  Raynor  Johnson's Capra's The  Tao  of  Physics The  Imprisoned  Splendour and  Fritj of you  understand  why  Sri  Aurobindo and Rabindranath Tagore were  convinced  that  India  is  destined  to  be  the  teacher of  all  lands.

Saints  never  contradict  one  another  and  mystics  have  never  been known  to  disagree. Eastern  culture  and  Western  culture  share  the  same  heritage  of  spiritual experience.

More and  more  men  have  begun  to  realise  that  we  are  the Peeping  Toms  at  the  keyhole  of  eternity.  I  should  like  to  echo  the  wish  with which  Arthur  Koestler  ends  the Roots  of  Coincidence stuffing  out  of  the  keyhole,  which  blocks  even  our  l that  we  would  take  the imited  view.

This  is  an  excerpt  from  the  second  Anuvrat  Trust  Endowment  lecture  delivered by  Mr  Palkhivala  at  the  Indira  Gandhi  National  Open  University.

Earth Sun relationships. With courtesy.

 EARTH-SUN RELATIONSHIPS

It is the earth’s relationship to the sun, and the amount of light it receives, that is responsible for the seasons and biodiversity. The amount of sun a region receives depends on the tilt of the earth’s axis and not its distance from the sun. The northern hemisphere experiences summer during the months of June, July, and August because it is tilted toward the sun and receives the most direct sunlight. Inversely, summer for the southern hemisphere takes place during the months of December, January, and February because that is when it receives the most direct sunlight. Did you know that the earth is approximately 3.2 million miles closer to the sun in January than in June?

Rotation

Rotation describes the circular motion of an object around its center. There are different ways things can rotate.

Rotation of the earth.

A very familiar kind of rotation is when a spherical, three-dimensional object turns around an invisible line inside its center. This center is called an axis. Spinning basketballs turn around an axis. Globes turn around an axis. The Earth itself spins on an axis.

The Earth's axis is vertical, meaning it runs up and down. (A rolling log, on the other hand, has a horizontal axis, meaning it runs sideways.) The Earth's axis runs from the North Pole to the South Pole. It takes the Earth 24 hours, or one day, to make one complete rotation around this invisible line.

As the Earth rotates, each area of its surface gets a turn to face and be warmed by the sun. This is important to all life on Earth. The sun affects everything from the weather we experience to the food we eat, and even our health. If the Earth did not rotate, one half of the Earth would always be hot and bright, and the other part would be frozen and dark.

The Earth also moves around the sun. This movement is called a revolution, which is different from rotation. Objects rotate around an axis, but revolve around other objects. So the Earth rotates around its axis as it revolves around the sun. It takes the Earth 365 days, or one year, to complete a revolution.

Leftover momentum from when planets were forming makes the Earth, and all planets in the solar system, rotate and revolve. As the solar system formed, many moving particles clustered together. They formed a spinning mass. This mass eventually split into different bodies—planets, moons, asteroids, and comets. All these bodies revolve around the sun. In addition, all planets kept their own rotating motion, including the Earth.

The Earth rotates around its axis at a rate of about 1,600 kilometers (1,000 miles) an hour. It revolves around the sun at a rate of 107,800 kilometers (67,000 miles) an hour.

What Is Earth's Axial Tilt or Obliquity?

By Vigdis Hocken

Earth's Axis Is Imaginary

In astronomy, an axis refers to the imaginary line that an object, usually a planet, rotates around.

Earth's rotational axis is an imaginary straight line that runs through the North and South Pole.  Earth's axis is drawn as a straight red line.

Earth has been orbiting the Sun at a slant. This slant is the axial tilt, also called obliquity.

Earth's obliquity angle is measured from the imaginary line that runs perpendicular to another imaginary line; Earth's ecliptic plane or orbital plane.

At the moment, Earth's obliquity is about 23.4 degrees and decreasing. We say 'at the moment' because the obliquity changes over time, although very, very slowly.

Earth’s Obliquity.

on 9 November 2021 at noon, Earth's axial tilt, or mean obliquity was 23.43644° or 23°26'11.1".

Earth's mean obliquity today is about 0.00001°, or 0.04", less than 30 days ago.

The Arctic and Antarctic circles today are 1.2 m (4 ft) closer to the poles, and the Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn are equally closer to the equator than 30 days ago.

The Tilt Changes

Earth's axial tilt actually oscillates between 22.1 and 24.5 degrees. The reason for this changing obliquity angle is that Earth's axis also wobbles around itself. This wobble motion is called axial precession, also known as precession of the equinoxes. It is caused by the gravitational force from the Sunthe Moon, and other planets.

Axial precession can be described as a slow gyration of Earth's axis about another line intersecting it. A complete wobble of Earth's axis takes around 26,000 years. It outlines the shape of a pair of cones or two spinning tops connected at the tips, which would be at the center of Earth.

Because Earth orbits the Sun at an angle, the solar energy reaching different parts of our planet is not constant, but varies during the course of a year.

This is the reason we have different seasons and why the seasons are opposite in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

From the March equinox to the September equinox, the Northern Hemisphere tilts towards the Sun. During this time, there are more than 12 hours of daylight north of the Equator.

At the same time, the Southern Hemisphere tilts away from the Sun, resulting in shorter days.

From the September equinox to the next March equinox, the days are longer south of the equator and shorter north of the equator.

Vastu Debate.

 Namaste My Dear friends

Beyond doubt, we got the Gyan of Vastu from our Sages and Rishi’s.

We did inherit instructions about the practice, use of this noble vidya.

As of now, the question raised by learned and commoners is.

Are we  justifying with the instructions in our practice?

I being an inquisitive person, hereby request Shri Ab Shukla ji, and other experts to remove the doubts (crept in the practice of Vastu, jyotish) having thick curtains which frustrate the inquisitive mind.

Before putting my submissions to rest, I submit the following.

Shri Ramesh Chintak once explained that the building structures and machines etc. have some life durations.

And, with the help of the horoscope of a person, it can be found out that :

Is there any Vastu Dosh in his dwelling house or work place ?  (3rd,4th,5th House's in the horoscope needs attention).

Late Shri Av Sundaram ji once replied to my said query. I quote.

Dear BNS ji :  I totally agree with you.

It is the native chart important for the results.  VASANTHE NE PRANANO THATRA VASSTU….

think on the sentence is correct.

वासन्ते ने प्राँणों तत्र वास्तु ।।

Where living being live that is Vastu.

I say earth is Vasthu all are not happy…

Cancer is Chara vastu,  your enviorment,

Scrpio is Sthira vasthu your plot,

and Meena is Nitya vastu.. your stay and sleep.

So its the native chart is important. regards.

I wish to add with respect that Late Prof. Av Sundaram ji was :

Icasian by heart.

Mathematician by profession.

Magician by skills.

1. Un healthy trends have seeped into practice of astrology and these must be suitably tackled.

Friend's I always try to be a part of solution, instead being precipitate.

I'm unsure when will it be all over. When will I get the tap on my shoulder, by the learned?

When I look back my past thirty years of journey with ICAS, I feel myself proud. Since I could gain, enrich my study without limping’s.

Thank you all for patient hearing.
